Cam Gardeners is a garden care and management company working in the South Cotswolds and the South of Gloucestershire. We specialise in making gardens richer in nature and more enjoyable for you every day. We are happy to meet you in your garden to discuss how we can help you.
We have a life-long interest in the living world and in growing things. We have decades of experience in running gardens, grasslands, woodlands and nature areas.
In our home lives we love and manage two gardens of our own; a small buzzing village space and a large rural orchard with lawns.
Margaret
- Is passionate about natural beauty and the benefits of a flower and Wildlife rich garden
- Studied and qualified at Pershore college of horticulture.
- Worked and trained at The outstanding Highfields nurseries
- Cared for the lovely 8 acre garden of historic Hodges Barn country house
- Designed and planted Wildlife gardens for Cattle Country, Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust amongst others
- Has had plant and nature photographs published in local and national magazines
- Was a pleased Winner of Best in Show, Wotton under Edge Horticulture Society
Gordon
Met Margaret whilst they were studying for their joint honours degrees in Botany with Zoology.
- Shares Margaret’s passion for the beauty of nature and growing wonderful gardens
- Had a successful career running the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust and advising nationally
- Tought about the Living Countryside and sustainability to students of all ages
- Has built urban nature wildlife sites and overseen 2000 acres of nature reserves
- Led the UK organisation for practical skills and learning in land based industries; including horticulture, arboriculture and nature conservation
- Is himself skilled and trained in using garden machinery
- Digs, sows, mows, saws, cuts and trims the crops, shrubs, grass and trees in two very different garden spaces – for fun!
